I was reading a book about the training programs of some old stars and thinking about program that pays homage to some of the greats that have gone before. These were some hardcore, hard training programs.
Training back then was more brute force and hard work compared to the split programs so in vogue today. These were largely total body programs not one bodypart a day plans.
Big basic exercises for heavy low rep sets. Compound exercises for moderate reps. Deep breathing squats and pullovers.
This is old school training from Reg Park, Steve Reeves, Bill Pearl, and the Myth himself Sergio Oliva.
It is a three week cycle with the first two weeks of heavy training 3 days a week and a final week of Sergio's program for six days of hard, muscle building training.
