To start off, when it comes to building legs its important that you focus on form. Once you get form down perfectly, training heavy will build the density for your legs. Legs should be a priority since its the largest muscle group on your body. Think about it its half of your body. Also developing strong legs will improve strength on you other lifts because your legs are the base of your body.
