FAQs
Is this safe for my youth athlete?
Training at this age is more about body control and spatial awareness. The foundation of the program is owning the movement patterns to prepare out bodies for future training. After you form a solid foundation will make adding in light resistance a smooth transition.
Even though it shows bodyweight, can I add in weights?
If they are able to maintain proper positions and hold the set tempos, adding in 10-15# DB's will be of little impact but help progress them into their future phases. The forces they take on during on-ice play are great than the will be stressed by adding in light weights. Own the positions first!
