Welcome to Fitness Rx!!

I'm Dr. Sam, and I'm a physical therapist who specializes in keeping people like you in the gym, training pain-free. I've taken 10+ years of gym experience and 5+ years of specialty practice to design this program to reduce the risk of the most common gym injuries I see in my clinic.

This program is carefully designed to build strength, agility, and endurance, the key points to staying active throughout well into old age.

Each day will start with a thoughtful warm ups based in rehab exercises, designed to activate muscles and give you a better workout. You'll then go through strength, pylometric, and cardio workouts specifically crafted to help you move better, faster, and stronger.

You'll be guided through strength training blocks to get back to your strongest self, and build power and speed with modifications to meet you wherever you're at.

Who is this program designed to help? This program is for people of all ages, who want to build a body capable of enjoying everything life has to offer! While this program is NOT designed to help with any specific competition goals, my hope is that your cardiovascular endurance, strength, and agility keep you playing with kids and grandkids, hiking in National Parks, and lifting anything you need at home without help for decades to come.

Take the Guesswork Out of WARM UPS
Long gone are the days when you didn't know what to do, so you just try a couple light sets before you lift! I've designed warm ups based on REAL recommendations I've given my clients to fix their gym injuries, with the hope they'll prevent the same injuries in you.

Expertly Crafted Strength Blocks
As a powerlifter and powerlifting coach, I know a thing or two about getting big and strong!! While this is not a powerlifting specific program, you can trust that each strength cycle will be intentionally built to safely progress your strength.

I literally got my doctorate in recognizing the injuries that plague us throughout the lifespan and finding solutions to fix it. This workout team is built on those principles, so no matter how old you are, you are able to move well enough to enjoy all of the things that make life great!

Workouts That Meet You Where YOU Are At
These workouts come with suggested modifications and swaps designed to meet you at YOUR level of fitness! You can do 30 inch box jumps or small hops on the ground; a 300lb squat or a bodyweight squat to a box. It's ALL fitness! And the best part? You will always have access to me, your pocket physical therapist to help you pick a swap if you're not sure what to do!!

How long will workouts take?
You should be done with your program in about an hour, depending on how long you take for rest!
Will this program prevent future injuries?
NOO! As much as I would LOVE to guarantee that, there's risks with everything we do in the gym. Sometimes we push too hard and strain a muscle, or try a new movement that hurts. BUT, I am doing everything in my power to minimize that risk, and I am always here to ask questions or review videos!
