Summer Phase 2: Hypertrophy & Strength Foundation
Phase 2 is a soft reintroduction to traditional strength training, with an emphasis on higher volume, hypertrophy, and continued general physical preparedness (GPP).
Builds on the movement and conditioning base from Phase 1
Introduces more traditional compound lifts (e.g., squats, presses, pulls)
Focus shifts to muscle building (hypertrophy) through moderate-to-high reps
GPP elements remain to maintain conditioning and work capacity
Prepares the body for heavier strength work in future training blocks
This phase bridges the gap between general prep and more intense performance-focused training.
