APEX Sandbag (SBP)
APEX Sandbag was created for the individual who wants to start incorporating sandbag training into their workouts, or for the home gym athlete looking for a structured place to begin.
There are countless sandbag workouts online, but they leave most people asking the same questions:
Where do I start? What weight should I use? Which exercises actually work?
APEX solves that problem.
This program is built around a structured 5-phase system, with each phase designed to develop a new physical adaptation and build on the previous one.
Phase 1 – Foundations
You’ll begin with familiar movements you may already perform in the gym, along with powerful foundational exercises designed specifically for sandbag training. This phase builds the movement base the rest of the program will rely on.
Phase 2 – Sandbag Skill Development
Now you’ll learn unique movements that are specific to sandbag training. These exercises will appear throughout the rest of the program, so mastering proper technique here is critical. The better the execution, the greater the reward.
Phase 3 – Combination Training
In this phase, we begin linking movements together, combining foundational lifts with sandbag-specific exercises. Expect intensity to climb and the sweat to start pouring.
Phase 4 – Maximum Strength
Here we focus on moving heavy weight with control for low repetitions. This phase is designed to build serious strength and power.
Phase 5 – Endurance
The final phase pushes your conditioning to the limit. Through HIIT and Tabata-style workouts, you’ll challenge your lungs, your muscles, and your mental toughness.
And for those who love the outdoors, there is also a bonus section designed to build sandbag hiking strength and endurance.
By the end of 12–15 weeks, you will have completed a brutal but rewarding program that builds:
