      In Greek Mythology Chiron was known as the wisest and greatest of the Centaurs.  Centaurs are incredible warriors built with the lower body of a horse and the upper body of a man or woman.   

      Chiron is a 13 week Squat Program designed to give your legs the power and speed of a Centaur but doing it wisely the way Chiron would have wanted.  There will be 3 training sessions per week focusing on developing the squat.  Each of those sessions will be focusing on a different aspect of improving the squat, whether through weight, speed, position, or time.

       Over the course of the 13 weeks the program will follow 3 cycles of training.  Within each cycle there will be specific emphasis on a trait we are trying to build in order to become stronger.  Each training day within each cycle will consist of 1 of 3 types of stimuli: type of contraction, heavy weight, and speed.  

      The end result of this program is to increase your ability to handle heavy weight for repetition also known as Submaximal Strength.  You may find that your 1RM goes up as a consequence of the training which is awesome but is not the primary goal of this program.  Remember Centaurs are dangerous because of their strength, speed and ability to cover long distances, and that's the goal of this program!  Pay attention to the details given in the daily training briefing and crush it!
