Ugly but Strong is powerbuilding-style training for all the SBD peeps out there. Whether you're a powerlifter or just someone who enjoys doing these big 3 movements, the program will help you build your strength, with accessory movements to build some muscle. For the powerlifters, this programming sets you up nicely to transition right into a meet peak.
Training will cycle through various versions of the main movements every 10+ weeks, alongside changing accessories, but the secondary focus will always be on back.
To start this program, you will need to know your 1rm on barbell squat, barbell bench, barbell deadlift, and seated barbell OHP. They can also be calculated based on recent 3rm or 5rm attempts.
