Who This Is For

This program is built specifically for peri- and post-menopausal women, as well as individuals dealing with osteopenia or osteoporosis, who want to take control of their bone health through expert guided strength training.

Whether you are an active individual looking to preserve your edge or someone who has been told to "be careful" because of low bone density, this program is designed for you. If you are ready to move beyond 5lb dumbbells and learn how to load your body with confidence, you belong here.

Why Choose This Program

During the menopausal transition, declining estrogen accelerates bone mineral density loss. Light cardio and low-intensity resistance exercises simply do not generate the mechanical force required to signal your skeleton to rebuild. Your bones need targeted, high-yield loading.

Here is why BUILT FOR BONES stands apart:

• Designed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy: You aren't getting generic workout templates. Every cycle is engineered by a DPT who understands clinical joint safety, spinal loading parameters, and movement mechanics. You get maximum bone-building stimulus with minimum injury risk. • Low Reps, High Yield: Instead of exhausting high-rep burnouts, each session centers on controlled impact work (jumping) and 1–2 heavy peak reps on core compound movements (squat, hinge, upper body). This delivers the exact stimulus your bones need without burning out your nervous system. • Complete Joint & Muscle Support: Heavy lifts are backed by targeted accessory and stability work to fortify weak links, bulletproof your joints, and keep you moving pain-free in everyday life. • Bridge the Gap to Performance: We reframe bone health from a medical limitation into an athletic goal. You will learn how to approach the barbell safely, build lean muscle, and feel powerful in your body again.

Why Your Skeleton Needs Built For Bones
Bone is living tissue that responds directly to mechanical force. By using heavy compound lifts and targeted jump work, this program triggers osteoblasts to rebuild bone mineral density where you need it most.
benefit-image-1
DPT-Designed Protection
Designed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy, every session features explicit form cues and joint-friendly loading parameters so you can lift heavy without compromising your spinal or joint health.
benefit-image-2
Preserve Lean Mass
Estrogen drops accelerate sarcopenia, making it easier to lose muscle and harder to hold onto it. Heavy, low-rep strength training provides the intense neuromuscular signal required to preserve lean muscle, protect your metabolism, and keep you moving with power.
benefit-image-3
Bulletproof Joint & Core Stability
Heavy compound lifts are backed by targeted accessory exercises that strengthen your deep trunk stabilizers, feet, and hips. This fortifies weak links, improves everyday balance, and reduces injury risk so you feel solid on and off the gym floor.

Reclaim Confidence in Your Body
A diagnosis of low bone density often creates fear around movement and heavy lifting. This program gives you the exact blueprint, technique cues, and athletic mindset needed to stop treating your body like it's fragile and start trusting your strength again.

FAQs
How do I know how heavy to lift?
Every workout uses RIR (Reps in Reserve) targets so you know exactly how hard to push without guessing. RIR tells you how many reps you should have left in the tank at the end of a set. This ensures you apply enough weight to stimulate bone growth while maintaining good form.
Can I keep doing my regular cardio/Pilates/walking on this program?
Absolutely. Since this program is 3 days a week, it pairs great with active recovery, zone 2 cardio, walking, or mobility work. Just make sure you prioritize rest so your body can adapt to the strength stimuli.
How long does it take to see or measure results?
You’ll notice gains in strength, balance, and confidence under the bar within the first 4–6 weeks. Bone remodeling is a slower physiological process, so DEXA scan improvements are typically measured over 18-24 months of consistent loading.
Can I ask questions about my form if I get stuck?
Yes! You can post comments, ask questions, and upload video clips directly inside the TrainHeroic app for feedback on your technique to make sure you're moving safely and effectively.
What if I have an active flare-up or an exercise doesn't feel right?
Programmed exercise swaps and scaling options are built right into the app. Because the workouts are DPT-designed, you'll learn how to modify movements without losing the bone-building stimulus.
