Strength training has been shown to improve running economy and reduce injury. We know ''it works.'' Not all strength training, however, should look the same. To SUPPORT running we must consider the unique demands. Understanding how and where to program things like power, absolute strength, compound vs isolated lifts, plyometrics, circuits etc are critical to achieving the desired outcome.
