Weight training is an effective way to burn fat because it promotes muscle growth, and muscle tissue burns more calories than fat tissue. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest. Additionally, weight training burns calories during the workout and increases post-workout calorie burn (EPOC), which can lead to more overall fat loss.
