Is this program safe for youth athletes?
Yes. Pitcher Strong - Home Gym is specifically designed with young athletes in mind. The programming emphasizes proper movement patterns and building resilience over time. When followed as written, it builds the kind of durable strength that keeps pitchers explosive and healthy across long seasons.
What equipment does my daughter need?
No, but some basic familiarity with movements is helpful. The program includes coaching cues, how-to videos, and progressions that help newer lifters build confidence and proper technique from day one.
What equipment does my daughter need?
Your pitcher will need access to dumbbells, medballs, a bench and/or box, bands, and pull up bar. This program is built for a home/hotel gym setup - if you have a full squat rack, barbell, and plates, check out Pitcher Strong - Barbell instead.
What age is this program designed for?
Pitcher Strong – Home Gym is built for youth and teen softball pitchers.
Will this actually make her a better pitcher?
Absolutely. The program is built around the specific physical demands of softball pitching: developing explosive power, rotational strength, and the durability to perform at the highest level throughout long seasons. This isn't general fitness. It's pitcher-specific strength training.
How long is the program and how many days per week?
Three days per week, year-round. Training is broken into focused 2–6 week blocks that change with the time of year, keeping your pitcher consistently progressing and adapting. This isn't a one-and-done plan: it's long-term programming designed to develop her for as long as she's training.
What if my pitcher is currently in-season?
This program is written into smaller cycles that adapt to the current season. Each cycle has a specific focus and adjusts the intensity and volume of the lifts so your pitcher gets the most out of her training while staying fresh, resilient, and ready to perform on the field.
