Offseason Training

Athletes Training Circle

Coach
Christian Powell

This corner of the Athlete’s Training Circle is dedicated to providing a framework of training for you as an American Football Player.

The season might be over, but this is where the real work begins. The offseason is your chance to rebuild, reload, and return faster, stronger, and more explosive than ever, when done correctly.

Most athletes (I've been one) waste the offseason doing random workouts with no structure or progression. They lose the edge they worked all season to build. You know you can be better, but you need a system that trains the way athletes are meant to train. Not bodybuilding, not general fitness, but for athletic performance.

That’s what the Athlete’s Training Circle is built for, to provide a simple phase by phase system that takes you step by step through a complete offseason. Each phase prepares your body for the next, so you’re always progressing toward game ready performance:

Phase 1: GPP (General Physical Preparation) The goal is to establish a solid foundation, improve mobility, fix imbalances, and develop full-body strength and work capacity.

Phase 2: Max Strength: The goal here is to build the raw strength that sets the stage for power and explosiveness.

Phase 3: Power & Explosiveness: The goal here is to convert strength into speed, quickness, and max force output.

Phase 4: Preseason / Performance Peak The goal here is to learn how to use that power and explosiveness on the field and get in game shape.

Each week builds toward peak performance, stronger, faster, and more explosive, without overtraining or wasted effort.
