This is the HK Strength Project, an initiative to build strength training capacity within the HK community. Chinese philosophy values physical activity and in particular, the capability to use physical strength when necessary. Over the years, these values have been lost. Today, less than 25% of Hong Kongers perform regular exercise. Building physical strength has many benefits besides just getting strong, including building physical resiliency (ability to withstand getting hurt), prevention of chronic non-communicable disease, obesity, and improved mental health.

This program is designed to introduce strength training in a why that is individualizable, meaning that people with different strength levels are able to complete the same basic program.

The price for this program goes to pay the admin costs related to running this program, but the goal is to reach as many people as possible and will be offered free of charge for anyone who cannot pay.

Access to an area to perform physical activity.  This could be a gym or public park facility.  Having a pair of dumbbells or something you can hold in your hands to perform strength work will be great.
