Welcome to THE ATHLETE PROJECT

The Athlete Project is the gym programme that will let you reach all of your athletic goals through evidence based, well structured and progressive training. Training is updated weekly so that you continue to progress and stay interested.

It is our belief that becoming an ‘All Rounder’ is exactly what 99% of athletes need. Not some random programme that promises ‘sport specific’ but leaves you feeling demotivated by lifting the same weight a year from now.

By completing this programme, you will be working on mobility, power, strength, hypertrophy and conditioning, all at the same time. This programme therefore suits any athlete that benefits from these adaptations.

This is the style of programming we would use for Combat Sports, Contact Athletes, Field Sports aswell as everyday athletes that don't fit into the traditional 'Powerlifter' or 'Crossfit' group. We will take care of carefully adjusting the exercises, weight and periodisation to keep you progressing – you just need to do the work.

FAQs
Does the programme change?
Yes. We will be updating the programmes weekly in order to prevent it feeling stale and to keep progression happening. All set/rep/exercise changes will be in line with the goals of the training phase.
Is this sport specific?
There is not one specific sport this programme is written for. This programme aims to improve athleticism, maximise power, strength, muscle building and conditioning. It is written to make you a better all round athlete.
I'm on the road and lacking some equipment, what do I do?
Ask a question in the team feed and your coaches (and team mates) will suggest alternatives. We'll guide you through it every step of the way.
Do I need to commit to 5 sessions per week?
No. We provide you with 3x Full Body Strength/Power Sessions and 2x Conditioning sessions. Some of our athletes play sport, so decide to do 2 of the Strength sessions. Some of our athletes don't play sport therefore choose to do all 5 sessions. If unsure which to do, ask in the team feed
Is this a long term contract?
No. Cancel anytime. Free 7 day trial too.
When should I join?
The programming is written so that you can start anytime. You don't need to wait until the start of a 'new phase'. I'd always recommend taking a week or 2 to build into the programme anyway.
How long is each session?
The Strength/Power sessions on Monday/Wednesday/Friday are generally 50-75 minutes (depending on how long you decide to rest). The conditioning sessions on Tues/Thursday at 45-60 minutes
Can I do extra exercises?
Every athlete will approach this training team slightly differently. Some will follow it to the letter. Some will want to add in a few extra sets or exercises they enjoy. That's all cool with me.
