Roger Takahashi

This program is designed to get you ready for Firefighter Academy. It has been developed by a Strength and Conditioning Coach who has instructed close to 60 firefighter academy classes (and counting).

If you are serious about getting ready, then this program is for you. Many programs only focus on the physical training aspect of the academy, this program also covers knot tying, tactical breathing, and firefighter specific strength and conditioning exercises.

"There are few people in this world who have been given the role of helping people in their hour of maximum danger. Do not shrink from this responsibility. Welcome it."

Firefighter Specific Exercises
Building a foundation is important, but it is more than just squat, hinge, push, pull, and carry. There are movement patterns that are unique to firefighting that have been added to the program so that your body will be ready for when you encounter them at the academy.

Tactical Breathing
Want to last longer when using your SCBA? Why wait to until you get into the academy before you start thinking of how to make a tank last? Start practicing the techniques now!
benefit-image-2
Knot Tying
You will have to learn knots as you go through the academy. Why not learn them now instead of taking your homework time at the academy to do it. Use that time for brushing up on other firefighter skills!
