Athletic Hypertrophy Program

Build Muscle. Stay Explosive.

Most hypertrophy programs make you slower. More weight, less pop, less speed on the field or court. The Athletic Hypertrophy Program is built differently. It's an 8-week program designed specifically for athletes who want to add real muscle and get genuinely stronger — without sacrificing the speed, power, and reactive qualities that make them athletes in the first place.

WHO THIS IS FOR You're an athlete (amateur, semi-pro, or a former competitor still training seriously) who wants to build real, usable muscle, get stronger on the big lifts, and keep — or even sharpen — your acceleration, top speed, and change of direction. If your only goal is size at any cost, this isn't for you. If you want size AND to stay explosive, this is built exactly for that.

HOW IT WORKS: HIGH-LOW STRUCTURE Every week alternates between two different day types. High Days train speed, acceleration, change of direction, reactive jumps, and heavy compound strength together — this is where your athletic qualities get maintained and sharpened alongside real hypertrophy work. Low Days focus on tendon health, joint control, and movement quality — yielding isometrics and controlled-range work that most programs skip. This is what lets you handle heavier training without breaking down.

WHAT'S INSIDE 8 full weeks, including a built-in deload week to stay fresh for the final push Progressive wave loading on main lifts for real strength gains Speed and change-of-direction work every week Reactive power and plyometrics — hurdle jumps, broad jumps, medicine ball throws Structured hypertrophy blocks with proven rep-range progressions Clear weekly progression logic, no guesswork A final testing week to chase new PRs on lifts, sprints, and jumps

BUILT ON REAL METHODOLOGY PIMA (isometric activation) work to prime force output at key joint positions, wave loading for progressive strength, Set-Rep-Best-Method loading for precise intensity control, yielding isometrics for tendon resilience, and a genuinely periodized 8-week structure.

Muscle Without Losing Speed
Add real size and strength without the speed and power loss most hypertrophy programs cause. Stay explosive on the field or court while you grow — this program is built specifically so muscle gain never comes at the cost of your athleticism.
benefit-image-1
Real Strength, Not Just Size
Wave-loaded main lifts and structured progression build genuine strength week over week — not just fatigue and soreness. Every session has a clear purpose, so your numbers actually go up, not just your bodyweight.
benefit-image-2
Bulletproof Joints & Tendons
Dedicated Low days use yielding isometrics and controlled-range work most hypertrophy programs skip entirely. This keeps your tendons and joints resilient as the loads climb, so you can train hard without breaking down.
benefit-image-3
Speed Training Every Week
Acceleration mechanics, max velocity sprints, and change of direction drills stay in the program from Week 1 to Week 8. Your athleticism is never an afterthought — it's trained and tested alongside your strength and size gains
benefit-image-4
Clear Progression, No Guesswork
Every week comes with coaching notes explaining exactly what's changing and why — from load progression to deload timing to the final testing week. You always know what you're doing and how it fits the bigger plan.

Bigger. Stronger. Still Fast.

Most hypertrophy programs make you choose between size and speed. This one doesn't. 8 weeks to real muscle, real strength, and the athleticism to prove it still matters.

FAQs
Who is this program for?
Athletes — amateur, semi-pro, or former competitors still training seriously — who want to build real muscle and strength without losing speed, power, or reactive ability. If you want size without becoming a step slower, this is built for you.
What if I miss a training day?
Life happens. Shift the missed session to your next available day and keep the weekly order intact where you can. Consistency across the 8 weeks matters more than hitting every single day perfectly.
Is this only for competitive athletes?
No — anyone serious about muscle growth benefits. Most hypertrophy programs rely on isolated, high-volume lifting alone. This one adds weekly sprint work, which triggers a strong hormonal and neural response that complements the hypertrophy stimulus — building muscle and staying explosive
What should I expect on an average training day?
High days combine speed, power, and heavy compound strength work. Low days focus on tendon health, joint control, and movement quality. Every session includes exact sets, reps, loads, and coaching notes explaining what to focus on.
How much communication will I get with the coach?
This is a self-guided, fixed 8-week program delivered through TrainHeroic — not 1:1 coaching. Every session comes with detailed coaching notes so you always know what to do and why, but there's no direct back-and-forth with the coach included.
What experience level is this for?
You should have some training background — comfort with basic barbell lifts (squat, press, hinge) and general gym movement. This isn't a beginner program; it's built for athletes with a training base who want to add size and strength.
What equipment do I need?
Access to a commercial gym (barbell, plates, dumbbells, cables) and a track or open space for sprint work. Bands, a medicine ball, and a GHD are recommended but not required.

"I put on almost 8 kg over this program and never felt slower on the court, if anything my first step got quicker. It's the first time I've bulked up without dreading how I'd move. Genuinely changed how I think about off-season training."
