This program is designed to prepare any fire academy student to pass the National Testing Network (NTN) fire fighter Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) in order to get hired and become a fire fighter. This program is gauranteed to help facilitate a level of fitness above what is required to achieve your goals so that come test day the CPAT feels easy.

Training will develop both aerobic and anaerobic conditioning in the form of cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. Training will consist of 4 days per week over the course of 4 weeks.

The training will be hard but it will prepare any fire candidate to complete the physical ability test used by fire departments across the nation by using minimal equipment.

Get Strong
This program will benefit your physical fitness in a variety of ways. Muscular endurance, muscular strength, and cardiovascular fitness will all improve significantly. By the end of this 4 week training block you will be ready to smoke any CPAT test placed in front of you. Muscular strength will be achieved through progressive resistance utilizing time proven methods in strength training.

Get Fit
This program will improve your cardiovascular/ pulmonary and muscular endurance that will be needed in order to complete the CPAT. Training to improve physical fitness will consist of circuit training, peripheral heart training, and steady state cardio.

How We Will Prepare You
2 days per week will be devoted to hard high intensity training days in the form of 1 specific circuit day and 1 traditional resistance training day. The 1st HIT training day will be sports specific and mimic the CPAT tests anatomical movements, intensity and work time. This is paired with 2 low intensity days to build aerobic capacity and muscular endurance and allow for proper recovery.
