Do I need to be an absolute beginner to start this program?
This program is for tennis players new to structured Strength & Conditioning. If you lack a tennis-specific gym plan or use generic workouts, this provides a scientific foundation. Experienced players can also use it to reset their athletic base and refine lifting technique for better performance.
How much time will I need per week, and can I customize the schedule?
Standard is 4 sessions/week (2 gym, 2 on-court), each ~60 min. Yes, it's fully customizable on TrainHeroic! Easily adjust or skip sessions to fit your schedule. Consistency is key, and the app makes it flexible to integrate with your court time and life.
What equipment is essential to complete the program?
Access to a standard commercial gym (dumbbells, barbells, cables, bands, medicine balls, benches) is needed. For on-court, resistance bands and a medicine ball are recommended. Agility drills can be done on any court surface using cones.
If I currently have elbow or knee pain, is this program safe for me?
Yes, a core goal is to make you less injury-prone. Weeks 1-2 focus on proper movement patterns and stability. Always consult a physical therapist for existing injuries, but this program builds essential strength/mobility to protect joints and improve durability on court.
Why I have to pay? Can't I get free workout online?
